I Love Coffee

I love coffee!

Coffee is black, and hot, and smells good! Coffee wakes me up every morning! Coffee keeps me awake, keeps me warm, motivates me at work, and sits so nicely in my little cup!

It stains my teeth, deprives me of sleep, and is bad for my stomach; but it doesn’t matter, because I love coffee!

How do I love thee?

  • I love coffee with all my heart!
  • I love coffee in the morning!
  • I love coffee at 10 o’clock!
  • I love coffee after lunch!
  • Sometimes, I love coffee in the evening too!
  • I love coffee with sugar!
  • I love coffee with milk!
  • I don’t really love coffee without sugar or milk, but it’s better than nothing.
  • I love coffee when I’m tired!
  • I love coffee when I’m on the go!
  • I love coffee in the drive-thru when I go to work!
  • I love coffee right after dinner!
  • I love coffee when I watch the news!
  • I love coffee when I hack a difficult program!
  • I love coffee when I relax, kick back and take it easy!
  • I love coffee when it’s just dark beans in the package!
  • I love coffee when it’s being ground and all the wonderful smell comes out!
  • I love coffee when it’s being brewed and the coffee-maker sputters so nicely!
  • I love the first cup of coffee in the morning!
  • I love the second cup of coffee a little while after!

Coffee boosts morale, keeps the crew alert, and motivates and inspires to productive work.

I need help.

  1. I prefer cream over milk in coffee. Why didn’t swedes ever learn using cream in coffee? I mean every cafĂ© I’ve seen in Sweden, only has milk to offer, whereas in Finland cream AND milk are always available.

    Clearly, Finland wins :P.

On the flip side, the cream usually runs out before you get enough. Not with the previous customer, not with the next, but with you.

  2. You’re supposed to have cream in coffee. But maybe that’s more for upscale restaurants to offer, I don’t know? Perhaps it adds another component in an already difficult logistics chain. :)

Anyway, I think standard milk is fine, too.

  3. No no no, wrong! Many Swedish cafes offer both milk and cream, especially the less updated, traditional ones:). When I grew up most people around me who didn’t prefer black coffee added cream and sugar but now we are so health conscious (and from what I read, fatter than ever) that we abandonded the cream. Swedes are fat without cream and Finns are fat with – yes, clearly Finland wins. Er… I think. I prefer my coffee black, you see:)

  4. Ooh..like such minimal amounts of cream would make anyone fat ;). I might add that cream only has about 25% fat maximum, while margarine/butter contains 75-80%. It is more likely that and/or the potatoes and bread that make people fat :). Bring back the cream!
